This stylish and modern wraparound extension is the home of Nick & Jess, who are over the moon with the transformation of their home in Tooting.

Nick & Jess bought the house as a fixer-upper in early 2020, keen to give it some love and boost the value, and started work almost immediately after moving in. The couple spotted Resi on Instagram and approached us, wanting a smooth and simple process as a previous experience had made them aware of how out of control projects can get.

The back of the house has had a total transformation. What was previously a long, dark and outdated kitchen is now a bright, beautiful and incredibly spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area, complete with lounge space towards the back and bifold doors connecting to the patio/garden. Above the dining area there's a large skylight flooding the room with natural light, something the property previously really lacked and was important to the homeowners to have.

'We had an idea of what we wanted, but needed help to understand what we could actually do, and what was feasible. Our Resi designer understood our brief well, and the plans were exactly what we wanted. We got planning permission approved first time, which is something we were worried about.'

'The property got a total revamp, starting with plumbing, electrics and the foundations. The skylights we have installed have allowed so much additional natural light to the room. The kitchen we had before was dark, cold and sad. It was long and narrow with a window that looked out onto a fence.'
